Two Way Radios

At D2N we understand the importance of being able to communicate clearly in all environments, to provide cost effective and future proof solutions. That is why we range only the premium two-way radio brands within our catalogue.

With brands such as Hytera, Kenwood, Motorola, ICOM, and accessories from Raytalk and MRTC, our two-way radio portfolio delivers world class products and services.  For our customers we take an outcome-based perspective, first trying to understand your application and what you need to achieve with a two-way radio solution.  We then move to offering up options from the brands we support providing detail on why we think this is right for you and complete transparency on the costs.  Lastly, we deploy with you, offering training as part of our delivery program, we help you take on the system and answer any questions you have.

It’s not about selling you a pile of radios and accessories, it’s about delivering you a solution that adds value to your business!

In terms of the different radio platforms in the market today, we support Analogue, DMR, NXDN, TETRA and now PoC.  Each of the brands we support offer a different range of platforms, each with their own speciality and ‘sweet spot’.  We try to focus on the application before we focus on the brand.  Understanding your application is key to choosing which radio, and accessory will suit you best.

Whilst we are talking accessories, this is just as important as the radio choice itself.  A $1500 dollar radio can sound as bad as a $100 radio if you equip it with a poor quality accessory.  For that reason, we sell original accessories from each manufacturer, plus a range of high-quality OEM brands in Raytalk and MRTC.  The importance of getting the right accessories cannot be understated, so if you are considering a radio solution, make sure you think about ‘how’ you will use the radio, ‘who’ will be handling it, and ‘where’ they will be whilst undertaking this work.

In terms of innovation, D2N is leading the way with PoC Solutions.  What does PoC mean?  It stands for ‘push to talk over cellular’ where your typical two-way radio has now also become a mobile device capable of email, video calling, SMS, Apps, dispatch and GPS tracking.

PoC devices can come as a mobile (4G) only or DMR and 4G device in one.  They come with small and large screens, small and high-quality camera’s.  PoC can overcome the coverage issues that many two way radios users face by utilizing the existing 4G network as a data call.  This is a very cost-effective solution for transport companies, teams working across multiple locations, teams working remotely, and much more.  Add this to the benefits of having Video calling, Email and App’s and all of a sudden you have a very flexible device in terms of functionality.

D2N has invested in PoC technology with its own AWS server to host our customers devices and data giving you peace of mind when it comes to ‘your’ content and data.  We have both sales and long term rental options in the PoC arena.

Lastly, and just to the left of PoC Radios are PoC Body Worn Cameras.  These are taking the security industry by storm and proving to be a must have for many types of asset and personnel protection businesses.  These cameras can double up as a remote speaker microphone for your radio, or act as a stand-alone PoC enabled live streaming body camera.  The options really are endless, with evidence management systems, multi-viewer applications and collaboration tools to really showcase the value proposition of this new technology.

D2N is fast becoming a leader in PoC platforms with over 1000 units already in-field across a broad customer base.  Just another example of how we work with your business to deliver value from your technology spend.
